On January 8, 2013, Carly Christenson passed away from complications of Influenza. She was only 14 years old. The Carly Christenson UND College of Nursing Endowment was established by Carly's family and friends to honor her memory.
Carly was wise beyond her years and serious about her future. Even as a freshman at
St. Louis Park High School, Carly knew her dream was to attend the University of North Dakota and study nursing. Her parents, Sandy (Finneseth) Christenson and Sean Christenson are both UND alumni. After touring the beautiful UND campus during Homecoming 2012, Carly saw a piece of her future.
Carly was devoted to her family and friends. She loved children and had an insatiable desire to meet and build meaningful relationships with others. She would have made a dedicated and caring nurse. Donating to The Carly Christenson UND College of Nursing Endowment is a way to keep her dreams alive.
